Misa did not receive the death penalty because she cooperated with the authorities by providing valuable information and evidence that helped in solving the case. Her cooperation may have been seen as a mitigating factor by the court, leading to a lesser sentence. Additionally, her lawyer may have negotiated a plea deal that resulted in a reduced sentence in exchange for her cooperation. **

The fear of being embarrassed due to lack of sportsmanship is known as "athazagoraphobia." This fear can stem from a variety of sources, such as a fear of being judged by others, a fear of losing respect or credibility, or a fear of disappointing oneself or others. It can lead individuals to feel anxious or self-conscious in competitive or team sports settings, and may impact their ability to fully engage in the game or activity. Overcoming this fear may involve building confidence, practicing good sportsmanship, and focusing on personal growth rather than external validation. **

Light Yagami's feelings towards Misa Amane in Death Note were complex. At first, he used her as a pawn in his plans to eliminate criminals as Kira. However, as the series progressed, it became evident that Light did care for Misa in his own way, as she was devoted to him and provided unwavering support. Despite this, Light's feelings for Misa were overshadowed by his obsession with his own goals and his manipulative nature. **

The presence of Misa and Rem in Death Note adds complexity and depth to the story. Misa's infatuation with Light and her willingness to do anything for him creates tension and conflict, while Rem's protective nature towards Misa and her own moral struggles add an interesting dynamic to the plot. Their involvement also contributes to the exploration of themes such as love, power, and morality. Therefore, removing Misa and Rem would have significantly altered the narrative and potentially diminished the impact of these themes. **
