Overall, Plato's philosophy emphasized the importance of equality as a fundamental principle for creating a harmonious and just society. **

The lack of transparency in government decision-making processes can create an environment where lobbying efforts can thrive. When there is limited visibility into how decisions are made and who is influencing them, it becomes easier for special interest groups to exert their influence through lobbying. Without transparency, it is also more difficult for the public to hold decision-makers accountable for their actions, allowing lobbying efforts to potentially shape policies in ways that may not align with the public interest. Therefore, lack of transparency can enable and facilitate the influence of lobbying on government decisions. **
